It all started with my own homepage back in 1996, a place for me to rant and rave about skiing, surfing, mountains, movies, whatever might be on my mind...a place to find solace from the dirty skies, streets, lives, and world of Los Angeles, California....now, years have passed, the site has gone through numerous updates...off shoot websites have come and gone, anyone remember MountainRiver.org, and now, alas, Eastside Free Press I don't have time for, to make it what I want it to be....this site, this fairly easy to maintain representation of the site is my style...so, what is the site now?, what is the mission? I don't know, I've got a movie out, I've had a couple articles published and more to come, everyone seems to enjoy my photos...one page which is a holdover from the old "Couch" site of cult fame, is "The Latest" weather page with more weather links than you probably will ever

basically it's just a joy to be alive, living in the mountains, spending winters snowed in several miles surrounded by peaks and ranges, woods and creeks, friends and this great wild earth....spending summer on the loose, backpacking, baja exploring, climbing, staring at the clouds from a cool granite basin, jumping in lakes.....I guess I'm trying to bring this joy, this love, this fantastic dream that is my life to the eyes of the world...the eyes of those who might be dreaming too....I don't know, I'm 24, never went to college, never plan to, i've spent the last several years wandering around the sierra backcountry and the desert and soaking in hot springs, skiing hundreds of thousands of vertical feet of good snow each season in the backcountry, logging miles living out of the back of my landcruiser, splashing a little paint on some walls, and other odd jobs....I don't know anything, nothing except that i'm happy.
